²⁸ When Lamech had lived 182 years, he became the father of a son. ²⁹ He gave him the name Noah. He said, “This one will give us rest from our work, from the hard work of our hands because the ground was cursed by the Lord.” ³⁰ Lamech lived 595 years after the birth of Noah. He had other sons and daughters.
